study!

I want to follow a career in Medicine.
What are the best bits of university life?
Camaraderie with peers and challenging your abilities.
What have been the biggest challenges?
Finding enough time to study when your responsibilities to your
child take precedence.
How do you cope with money?
Live as frugally as possible and always try to have some savings
to fall back on.
What do you wish you had known before you started?
The desire to squeeze 30 hours into the day.
How do you juggle your responsibilities?
I try to manage my time as well as possible and keep my goals in

Where will you be in 10 years time?
Ideally I will be a house officer in a hospital, in training
towards a Registrar post, with a happy 10 year old son and paying a
mortgage on my first home.
What are your top money management tips?
Save everything you realistically can and set yourself a budget
for luxuries like lunch with friends and a cup of tea from the uni
cafe when it's too cold to feel your toes! Expecting yourself to
live without any luxuries is unreasonable and you will end up
spending the money you had planned for something else.
